Julia and Marty got married in August 2019 at the beautiful Borgo Del Carato.

When I saw them in videochat, after they choseed me as their wedding photographer, I immediately was sure that their wedding would be one-of-a-kind 🙂

Since Julia is from Sweden and Marty is from Ireland, they decided to have their wedding in Sicily, to guarantee their guests a nice sunny day.

As Julia walked down the aisle with her father Bengt by her side, the heavens opened up and it started to rain… Weather it was god crying happy tears, someone of their loved lost once showing that they were there, a sign of good luck or just coincidence we will never know, but it certainly gave a smile to everyone’s face and a moment the guests and us photographers and videographers will never forget!

After the ceremony the bride and the groom walked out to ‘here comes the sun’ and sure enough the sun came out just a few minutes later. A night full of laughter and joy followed, as the Swedish and the Irish guests mixed and took part of their country’s traditions.

The food from Graziano Catering was very tasteful, the speeches from the bride and grooms parents, the bridesmaids, the best man and Marty himself were as loving and fun as the day had turned out to be. The bride and groom danced their first dance to Caledonia as their guests sang along under the warm starry Sicilian night.

A magical day where Marty finally got his Julia in the present of their wonderfully warm Swedish and Irish loved ones.
