It was a pleasant news to receive an e-mail from a Japanese couple living in San Paulo, Brazil. Fuyuki and Marie chose Sicily as the destination for their honeymoon and, planning to have a wedding photo session there, found me on Instagram.

They were married in March 2018 but, because of Fuyuki’s work, they spent 6 months living separately in Tokyo and San Paulo; literally opposite sides of the globe. After that, they had a wedding ceremony with their families and friends at a traditional Japanese shrine in Tokyo. However, even though they had moved to Brazil, Marie couldn’t give up on her dream of taking wedding photos at a beautiful beach in Europe. Finally, her dream came true at a gorgeous Sicilian beach this summer.

I met them at Hotel Villa Igiea, which is located near the marina in Palermo city. After taking photos of the “ Prosecco Moment “ inside their room, I took them to beautiful Cefalù beach. As soon as they arrived there, the people on the street celebrated with this beautiful Japanese couple. We walked around the streets and beach taking lovely photos. Receiving lots of blessings from the warm local people, they looked so happy and joyful.
