Sam and Adam, an intimate Canadian wedding in Sicily

It was a pleasant surprise to receive an inquiry from this couple in Toronto, Canada. Sam and Adam reached out to me online for their destination wedding in Sicily in summer 2019. They described their vision of a small, intimate wedding at a stunning villa in Donnalucata. Their guests would include 10 people, just immediate family.

They decided to capture their “first look” moment in the garden of Villa La Forma Dell’Acqua. I suggested a number of gorgeous local areas for photos, and together we landed on Modica. The couple wanted to do their photos together prior to the ceremony, and it was fortunate they did. They wrote their own vows to one another. It was full of emotion and joyful tears – thank god for waterproof mascara! We all celebrated with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. There was a beautiful meal, intimate words from family, and dancing to follow. It was an absolutely perfect day. The only thing they mentioned they missed was their sweet dog they left at home 😉

A special thank you from the newlyweds to everyone who made the day possible! They were incredibly fortunate to book a villa with gracious and accommodating hosts. Melina, the owner, took on the role as their wedding planner and worked tirelessly to ensure the day went smoothly. She connected them with local hair and makeup artists, a chef, baker, and a driver.
