The wedding of Annemarie Gillman and Michelangelo Mallia- a Mid Summers elegant baroque, neo rustic country, Irish-Sicilian wedding. The couple met in Ireland while socializing at a wine bar. From what began as a casual yet spark filled conversation, the romance of a lifetime began. After a romantic Valentines proposal in Vendicari nature reserve, the couple quickly started planning for a dream summer wedding.
The couple decided to tie the knot in Noto Cathedral.
Due to illness, Annemarie’s father Richard Gillman, could not travel, butThey had an intimate Irish garden wedding upon the couples return with their beloved father.
Roberta Buscema worked on recommending fantastic suppliers, transport, logistics, styling, décor, planning and was an invaluable support to the couple during the whole process. For the celebration venue, the couple knew that they wanted somewhere authentic, rural and with a magical athosphere. Casale Dei Giardini, by the Sipione family was the perfect venue. In keeping with Irish tradition, Annemarie had bridesmaids, Miriam, Sarah and Angelica. Annemarie’s floaty, contemporary yet classic lace dress was by international designer ‘Pronovias’. The colour palette for the wedding was sage, ivory and neutrals. Annemarie’s mother Dympna Gillman accompanied her down the aisle to the beautiful live music of Dammen Quartet. Annemarie and the wedding party carried beautiful boquets of ivory rose, hydrangea, gysophila and eucalyptus. The florist Iolanda Cannata created glamorous, bohemian floral displays. Roberta, Iolanda and the wonderful team at Casale Dei Giardini worked tirelessly to style the celebration venue into the most romantic wonderland. Candles twinkled in the gazebo amongst traditional Sicilian décor. In the courtyard guests enjoyed a cocktail bar, full buffet of traditional delicious Italian dishes and live cooking. Afterwards, guests enjoyed live music by the pool and an imperial multi-course feast. Dancing, laughing, chatting, wishing lanterns and a delicious desert buffet and another bar completed the magical night. Guests received a beautiful painting each, of the local area Marzamemi, by amazing artist Ermelinda Micalef and confetti boxes handmade by Giovanna (Michelangelo’s sister).
